¿Qué tal?

Ah the fresh morning air of life in the Cus' brings a smile to my face each and every day. It's unbelievable how time flies by, and I cannot believe I've already been here over two months. Each day comes and goes, and each moment I am able to spend with the people here is a grace from God, as all moment's of one's life are.

Finally this week I will begin some of my English classes, and I am very excited to do so as many of the kids as well with adults are eager to learn. Also it will help fill up my day a bit more as all I've really been doing for the last month is enjoying life without really any work or obligations to do. Although this has be enjoyable, I'm ready to start doing something more with my time. I have also begun to assist with Coro Fabrettino, the high school choir here, and that has been fun as I am finally able to sing a bit again and help them learn their music at the same time. They will be taking a trip to Costa Rica in December and are now preparing for that.

I am becoming more and more accustomed to life here each and every day. This past week I went without eating beans for 3 or 4 days and I was already craving them. Beans and rice, that's all I need to sustain me! I can tell that I am beginning to become one of them too, and no longer merely the new "gringo" in town. One evening I was having dinner and spending time with what has basically become like my adopted family here, and one of the girls Roberta, 13, said to me that I am already like an older brother to her and so I should marry her older sister so that I can officially become one of the family and live here forever. I laughed, and now often times call her "hermanita" or "little sister". Good times.

Well I won't continue to bore you all with the details of my life down here, as although I don't do a whole lot and it may seem as though I don't have a lot to tell, I could go on and on, believe me. So I hope that all is well and I'm sorry that my keeping contact has been bad lately. I'll try to work on that! Know that each and every one of you are in my thoughts and prayers! Take care and God bless!

UNTIL NEXT TIME...
